Sue the toy makers!

"Toy Recalls May Push 'Medical Monitoring' Debate"

...
"
Should families be allowed to sue toy makers and others before their children show any kind of injury?" -wsj

Of course they should. There is no way a company should be aloud to get away with putting so many children in danger. Even if it wasn't intentional. They still have to have assume responsibility for the danger they have put so many children in. For once I'd like a company, to not have to be sued. They should instead volunteer payments to the families who children who were hurt by their products. I doubt this will happen.

Boycott China

I am not going to boycott China. To boycott something you only abstain for a period of time. Instead I am going to ban products made in China for life. It may not be possible (at this point) to know where everything is made. All I can do is my best, to research companies and their products so I can make the most an informed choice.

It's funny dictionary.com defines a boycott as;
2. to abstain from buying or using: to boycott foreign products.
The key here is "foreign products"

Over 80 percent of the toys in our American stores are made in China. None of them are products are China. Hence, none of them are foreign.

What ever happen to national pride? States have had to go to extreme measures to make sure that our own countries flag is made domestically. Why in the world would in not be made in our own country!

"Minnesota has passed the strongest measure, a new law that goes into effect at year's end requiring every Old Glory sold in state stores to be domestically produced. Violations are a misdemeanor, punishable by up to a $1,000 fine and 90 days in jail."

"In Arizona, schools and public colleges were required starting July 1 to outfit every classroom from junior high up with a made-in-the-USA flag. Tennessee requires all U.S. flags bought via state contract to be made here, and similar bills are moving forward in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania."

Despite this fact... "The U.S. Census bureau estimates that $5.3 million worth of U.S. flags were imported from other countries in 2006, mostly from China." Huffington Post

Five down 45 to go....

Its not just absurd its plain embarrassing to own anything made in China. To me it seems like its our American company's way of getting way with slavery all over again. Factory conditions aren't great to say the least within our own country. Imagine thousands of miles a way what it must be like to earn a few cents, if they are even paid at all.

If making products in the United States mean the prices will go up. Then so be it. I will be happier paying for a product that I know is made by an adult for a fair wage. With safe materials! Then knowing that I was contributing to global slavery. Say no to American companies outsourcing to China. Say no to global slavery!
